A Holistic Approach
FUN is a Lifestyle program to learn how to eat better, exercise more efficiently, and become leaner, energized, and more productive. It contains modules for individuals, families, and children. It is rooted in the premise that one size does not fit all, and is layered with simple, practical, and sound guidance that will help navigate the health & fitness terrain. The outcome is a higher level of well-being- and an increased awareness of what cannot be ignored. It helps find the key to unlock the innate passion to self-improve, and provides the knowledge, motivation, and tools to accomplish goals. It acknowledges that goals can be attained in stages, and failure is only a momentary condition in a moment to moment paradigm that celebrates small (but significant) victories, and endless brand new opportunities to begin anew.

How do you create a health/fitness/well-being program that people will be motivated to follow, in an environment where they will not even take the time to consider one?

You can read all of the statistics, intellectually absorb them, and even on some level become convicted:
- 68.5% of adults are overweight or obese; 34.9% are obese.
- 31.8% of children and adolescents are overweight or obese; 16.9% are obese.
- Diet related diseases include: Type 2 Diabetes (which develops most often in middle-aged and older people who are also overweight or obese. The disease, once rare in youth, is becoming more common in overweight and obese children and adolescents) and Heart Disease (It is estimated that 40 to 50% of the adults in the United States are “at risk” of developing heart disease due to poor dietary choices).
There are endless diet programs, backed up by solid research, that are available but rarely stuck to. There are thousands of health clubs that are joined, but never attended. The diet and exercise industries are the only paradigms that are built on failure. If the first diet worked for everyone, there would be no need for the thousands of programs and books that followed it. If everyone who joined a health club regularly attended it, there would be no room for the countless new members they keep recruiting.
Good intentions. But how do you stick with something when the rest of your life keeps pulling you - and you lack the knowledge and support that would give you the motivation to make it a priority?

Take AIM.
We are all very busy. But with the health and fitness levels of Americans trending toward disastrous, something has to be done. The problem is we dive into programs without a game plan. All or nothing. Is it any wonder we call it quits? This has to be taken in stages.
AIM is the Jumpstart Program for FUN. It contains the evaluation materials, as well as the tools to determine specific nutrition and exercise requirements. It was designed to take the pressure off, and provide a more laser-beam focus on issues and challenges in phases. It begins with asking - if all you can do right now is pick one thing to change toward being healthier and more fit, what would that be? And you take it from there.
